Blended Learning:

AdmInTech utilizes a blended learning approach combining the best of face-to-face and online instruction to meet the needs of educational administrators.  In simple terms, blended learning is defined as "learning events that combine aspects of online and face-to-face instruction" (Kaplan-Leiserson, 2002).  The Georgia Educational Technology Training Centers have defined blended learning within our context as any professional development course that uses online or distance technologies to support direct instruction, reflective learning activities, or participant communication outside of the structured classroom environment.

Course Goal:

Participants will demonstrate competency in meeting the performance standards defined by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Technology Standards for School Administrators. Further, leadership personnel will demonstrate competency as measured against the Georgia Technology Standards for Educators: Performance Indicators for Certified Leadership and Service Personnel.

Class Schedules

Courses will be offered throughout the state at Educational Technology Training Centers beginning in January 2003. Information will be available on our InTech Dates Web page as details are finalized.
