Passing this
test gives you two more options for meeting the
Special Georgia Technology Requirement. The options are
explained below.
Those choosing to take the exam have two choices:

There are a total of 6 assessment scales as delineated above. The exam consists of 6 questions per scale for a total of 36 questions. The score range for each scale is 100-300 points. An average score of 175 is considered passing. The final score is determined by adding the subscores in each assessment scale and dividing by 6. |

| All the assessment scales are adaptive, meaning that Georgia AssessOnline adapts the difficulty of the questions to the specific skill level of each test taker. If you answer correctly, the test questions become more difficult and enable you to achieve a higher score. If you answer incorrectly or leave questions unanswered, the test questions become easier. | |

Examinees will know immediately whether they passed the exam. Certificates for passing the exam will be printed at the test site and given to the examinees before leaving. |

| You are only allowed to take the exam once. If you pass, you will be given information on the 5-day InTech Model and the CEO option. Otherwise, you will be directed to register for a 7-day InTech course. | |

Educators
who pass the AssessOnline exam have two
new options available to them:
Georgia's
Five-Day InTech Professional Development Program - This fast-paced
technology integration program is for technology proficient professionals
seeking effective strategies for integrating technology but with reduced
seat time! The five-day model of InTech will be offered at the ETTCs
beginning in June 2002. Cost - $50.00 Remember: You must pass the AssessOnline
Test Out before you can register for the 5-Day InTech. See InTech

Course Exemption Option (CEO) - CEO candidates will complete the InTech Professional Development course objectives by designing, implementing and assessing four technology-enhanced lessons in their classrooms with students. This process will be depicted through artifacts and reflections presented in an electronic portfolio for review by a Regional Council. Regional Councils are being established by ETTCs across the state. Members of each Regional Council will measure each candidates electronic portfolio against the Georgia Technology Standards for Educators using the InTech Course Exemption Option Rubric. This rubric is provided to assist CEO candidates in preparing an electronic portfolio for presentation to a Regional Council. It is designed to clearly define the criteria for meeting each standard. Successful candidates will earn a minimum of 80 points on a 100-point scale, as measured by accrued scores in each dimension.
Regional Councils will convene regularly on dates to be advertised by the ETTCs. CEO candidates must complete and present their electronic portfolio for peer review to the Regional Council within one year from the date of registration for candidacy in the Course Exemption Option.
