GACE Computer Skills Competency Test

Effective 9/30/07, the only test which the PSC will accept to satisfy the technology requirement is the new GACE COMPUTER SKILLS COMPETENCY TEST.

The KSU ETC will be offering the GACE test on the following dates.

WARNING regarding PUNCTUALITY - You must be EARLY to the GACE test. If you are late and the test has already begun, you will NOT be allowed into the session. You will be required to register for the next available session. Unfortunately, this happens every test session. Please arrive 30 minutes EARLY to ensure you have plenty of time to park and locate the ETC.

Note: You only need to register for one of these test sessions.

Passing Score - On a scale of 1-300, candidates must make a 220 or better to pass the Computer Skill Competency GACE Test.

*Candidates who do not pass the Computer Skill Competency GACE Test can retake the test as many times as they need to, but there must be at least 30 days between testing attempts.

Location: Here are directions to the KSU ETC - We are located on the 2nd floor of Kennesaw Hall in the Bagwell College of Education (Building 1 on the KSU map).

Parking Pass: A parking pass will be emailed to you. This pass should be displayed in your windshield. You must have this parking pass to park in the deck or you will receive a ticket. Please park in the East Parking Lot as displayed on the KSU map.

Cost for the GACE Test:

1. When you come for your testing session, you will need to bring a credit card (VISA or MasterCard only) and you will pay an online amount of $35.00 directly to GACE.

What to Bring to the GACE Test:

• One must be a current, government-issued ID in the name in which you will register, bearing your photograph and signature (i.e., a driver's license or military ID card)
• The other form of ID must have your name on it (e.g., a credit card or birth certificate).

You will receive a confirmation via  regular mail prior to the testing date (approximately 7-10 days after registration received).
