Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to the number of people and who can attend the training on the use of D2L?
No but the people who attend the training must be the ones who will or have been redelivering the training at your school system.

How do you let the state know you are interested?
You must contact your local ETTC to register your trainers for the class. The class is a 1 day session that will cover the use of the online portal (Desire 2 Learn) and teaching online.

Do we have to sign a contract?
There is not a contract. You will complete the registration information that Karen Holland (kholland@kennesaw.edu) will send you when you request a class. She will send you an invoice for your participants. The instructors for your classes that have been trained can then go ahead and schedule your classes. (Please refer to the procedures page linked above for details.)

Is there a minimum number of teachers we have to commit to?
No.

Are there computer hardware or software requirements?
The recommendations are a network, DSL or Cable connection as well as the latest browser versions which do require Windows 98 or higher. Both Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers can be used. For the Macintosh users Mosilla is the recommended browser. For more details please open this document, system requirements.
