These Administrative/Leadership Deliverables are part of a pilot program with ETTC's across the state and changes may be forthcoming! Please check often for updated information.

As part of the certification and SDU credit requirements, administrators, media specialists, technology specialists, and other school personnel functioning outside of a classroom environment can choose from the following options to meet the requirements for InTech certification.  A minimum of one technology-connected lesson plan developed and implemented is required!

Option 1:  Four technology-connected lesson plans.
Option 2:  Three technology-connected lesson plans and one leadership deliverable.
Option 3:  Two technology-connected lesson plans and two different leadership deliverables.
Option 4:  One technology-connected lesson plan and three different leadership deliverables.

Leadership Deliverable Options:

  1. Instructional Evaluation

    Review and assess an InTech participant’s technology-connected lesson plan. First: the InTech teacher will develop and implement a technology-enhanced lesson in the classroom with students. Upon completion of the lesson, the InTech teacher will complete the Participant Self-Assessment checklist and will present the lesson plan and the Lesson Implementation and Assessment Form to the administrator.  The administrator will use the Lesson Implementation and Assessment Form to complete the Instructor’s Checklist to assess the teacher’s progress in meeting the lesson criteria. Turn in a copy of the lesson plan, the InTech teacher’s Participant Self-Assessment and the completed Instructor’s Checklist as a course deliverable.

    Submit the following:

    • InTech Teacher’s Technology-Connected Lesson Plan
    • InTech Teacher's Participant Self-Assessment
    • Lesson Implementation and Assessment Form

     

  2. Research

    Identify a topic of research relevant to your job responsibilities/professional development.  Search the Internet using search engines, directories and GALILEO.  Locate, read, and summarize a minimum of two articles related to your topic.  Include a one- to two-page, double-spaced summary in Microsoft Word with a minimum of five cited resources from the Internet.  Email the document as an attachment to your instructor. Use an email correspondence to share your findings with at least two professional colleagues who would benefit from the information in your research findings.

    Submit the following deliverables:
    • Technology Use Self-Assessment

    •  Printed copies of the front pages of five Internet sites that supplied useful information for the research topic

    •  A copy of the email correspondence to colleagues  

    • An email with Summary Research Document to your InTech Instructor

     

  3. Presentation

    Develop a multimedia presentation relevant to your job responsibilities and to your audience.  Present your multimedia presentation to an audience of no less than four professionals, parents, administrators, or other target audience impacted by your area of responsibility. The presentation should have a minimum of 7 slides and no more than 15 slides. Include at least one clipart and one graphic from the Internet or a file.  Include slide transitions and custom animation where applicable. Print handouts with 3 slides per page and distribute to audience. Turn in handouts as a deliverable. Generate a holistic rubric designed to solicit feedback from the target audience. Develop an email group list of audience participants and attach the rubric requesting a reply. 

      Submit the following deliverables:

    • Technology Use Self-Assessment

    • Print copy of electronic presentation: three slides per page. Add your written comments to explain the audience reaction to the presentation. Make note of any changes you would make if the presentation were to be delivered a second time.
    • Random samples of rubric completed by members of the target audience.


  4. Budget

    Create a spreadsheet in Excel for a specific budgeted area in your building.  The spreadsheet activity should relate to a specific area of fiscal management associated with your job description or area of responsibility. Make a pie chart of the percentages within the budget.  Make another chart showing dollar amounts.  Print out the spreadsheet with charts as a deliverable.

    Use a word processor to develop a written description of the budget to be managed.

    Submit the following deliverables:

    • Technology Use Self-Assessment

    • Print copy of the budget spreadsheet and charts.

    • Print copy of the written description of the budget to be managed.              

     

  5. Records Management

    Create a database in Access applicable to your job responsibilities.  Add a minimum of 10 records.  

    Create a report using the report function from the database and print as a deliverable. Email the created database to your instructor as an attachment or submit the database on diskette.

  6. Technology Planning

    Develop a written plan that explicitly integrates technology into one area of the school environment (Ex: After-School Program, Reading First, etc.) Technology integration might be evidenced in a School Improvement Plan, a Pay for Performance Plan, a School Expansion/Construction Plan or a unique plan approved by the InTech Instructor. The plan must be based on need, show how technology helps meet the goals of the plan and take into consideration hardware, software, peripheral devices and professional development. Turn in a copy of the technology plan as a course deliverable.
