Technology-Connected Lesson Plans
Whole Group

| Instructional Groups
Whole group instruction is designed to involve ALL students at all times with limited available technology.
The students are immersed in the technology-connected curriculum.
The teacher is the ONLY one with hands-on technology.
As the teacher uses software that is shared with the students through the use of a scan converter, the students demonstrate interaction with the technology.
Student interaction may be accomplished by using some type of data collection or fact gathering form.
Simply watching does not demonstrate that all students are interacting with the technology or the curriculum. During the whole group, ALL students must show interaction with the technology that is used by the teacher.
Use the whole group activities modeled during the InTech classes to guide the planning of lessons with this requirement.
Students work in small groups to complete a technology-connected activity.
Cooperative groups require more than simply placing students together.
The teacher must plan the activity so that students are required to work together.
Each student is required to share in the responsibility for the group work.
One person cannot possibly complete all requirements for the group work.
The student work samples reflect that the group members were needed to complete the activity or project.
Use the cooperative group activities modeled during the InTech classes to guide the planning of lessons with this requirement.
