Our mission is to provide high quality service, consulting, and professional learning for Georgia's pre-service and in-service educators to advance the effective use of technology for teaching, learning, and leading. As we collaborate with our service area of 12 school systems within metro Atlanta and North Georgia, we are exposed to exemplary and innovative ways educators are using technology. Is your school successfully embedding technology into instruction in ways that are... |
Effective?
Engaging?
Meaningful?
Authentic?
Innovative?
Enhancing instruction?
Student centered?
Exemplary?
Promoting higher order thinking skills?
Aligned with curriculum based standards?
If so, we would like to recognize your school for using innovative
technologies and "Spotlight" their success!
The Spotlight program, which is administered by each of the Educational
Technology Training Centers across the state, strives to:
Recognize outstanding examples of the appropriate use of technology in the Georgia K-12 schools that have been shown to increase student involvement and achievement.
Provide information on exemplary programs so they can be replicated at other schools.
Stimulate the development of new and improved programs that effectively use technology to improve student achievement.
Focus the attention of legislators on successful programs so they can be further encouraged and appropriately funded.
Each school spotlighted will be showcased on the KSU ETTC Web site and presented with the Spotlight on Georgia Technology Innovation Certificate. Please use the application below to apply for this award!
The KSU ETTC will review the applications to determine the recipient of this award. On-site visits by the ETTC staff will be requested. The school selected must provide a URL that links to their innovative program. Annually, one Spotlight School will be chosen by the KSU ETTC to represent their district on Capitol Tech Day. On this day, the selected team will share their successful program with Georgia legislators at the Georgia Dome.
