Technology Reviews
Reviews and evaluations of technologies that support the research process including GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online), EbscoHOST, ProQuest, Jmp-In and Microsoft Excel. Structured interviews with education faculty who use each of these modern technologies for research determine the strengths and weaknesses of application features from the end user perspective.

Electronic databases such as GALILEO, EbscoHost, ProQuest are particularly useful in the problem identification and literature review phases of qualitative and quantitative research as detailed in Electronic Databases that Support the Research Process. There are a number of applications available for analyzing qualitative data. NVivo and N6 are the most commonly used among educators and are reviewed here.

Most educators who engage in quantitative data analysis are familiar with applications such as JMP and JMP-In the student version, Microsoft Excel and SASS.
