Teaching Standards through Project-Based Learning

1.   As a Georgia Movie Academy coach, what do I do first, next, and last?

2.     When is the deadline for registration for the Georgia Movie Academy?
The deadline is February 1, 2006.

3.     When is the postmark deadline for mailing the Georgia Movie Academy Movie?
All entries must be postmarked by March 1, 2006. Entries must be submitted on a CD or DVD.

4.     Where do I mail the final movie?

5.     Will workshops be offered to teams and their coaches? Yes.  Click here for dates and registration forms.

6.     Does a team have to attend a Technology Workshop if they don’t want to or they simply can’t? No. We advise all coaches and teams to take advantage of this training: however, it is not required.

7.     How extensive should the standards be regarding the content of the movie?
It is imperative that Georgia QCCs/GPS be referenced in the movie.

8.    What if a member of my team drops out?
A withdrawal form must be submitted to the Georgia Movie Academy if a member of your team drops out. If the number of team members falls below the three member minimum, the team is subject to disqualification.

9.    Can my movie be over 2 minutes in length?

            No, it is very important to keep the video to this length.
