Dr. Traci Redish, Director Traci earned a Master of Education, Specialist of Education and Ph.D from Georgia State University. She is known for her development of the InTech Professional Development Model --the premier technology integration training solution adopted by the State of Georgia and recognized as one acceptable path for meeting the Special Georgia Technology Requirement for educators. Traci is also known for her development of WebTech--a follow up program to InTech. Her specialties in educational technology include the following: utilizing the Internet in the classroom, developing multimedia projects and presentations, utilizing application software as productivity tools and integrating educational software into the K-12 curriculum. Dr. Jo Williamson,
Assistant Director Jo has ten years of experience as an administrator and a private consultant in the field of educational technology. She served as the district technology director in Waukegan, IL, where she managed one of the original nineteen Federal Challenge Grants for Technology. Jo also directed a Learning Technology Center for the Illinois State Board of Education and served as the Director of Educational Technology and Media for the Georgia Department of Education. She served on the committee to create Milken’s Technology in American Schools and worked with the Metiri group to author five sections of NCREL’s enGauge framework for effective technology use. She also has consulted with school systems and government agencies on various research, evaluation, professional development and strategic planning initiatives. Jo’s preparation for these leadership roles includes eight years of public K-12 and university-level teaching experience. She holds an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Kansas, Lawrence and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In addition to serving on the ETC staff, Jo is also an Assistant Professor in the Educational Leadership Department at Kennesaw State University, where she teaches courses in the new Technology Leadership program. Brent Williams,
Statewide Technical Trainer Information Technologist Brent is a well known consultant, lecturer, and futurist specializing in computer systems technology, networking, emerging technologies, and security. He has over 25 years of experience in the high technology field and worked for over 10 years in Fortune 100 companies as a technical specialist and manager before focusing entirely on education. Brent has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Master's degree in Technology Management from the Southern College of Technology. Nisa Peek,
Instructional Technology Specialist Nisa obtained her B.B.A. from Radford University and her M.Ed. at Old Dominion University. Nisa comes to the Center from Chesapeake, VA where she taught Middle School Computers for nine years. Nisa's accomplishments include Virginia Business Education Association's Middle School Business Teacher of the Year Award. Various lesson plans featured in educational journals and web sites. While in Virginia, Nisa worked with the Department of Education as a consultant. Enjoyed teaching as an adjunct faculty member at Norfolk State University and Tidewater Community College. | Jerrie Cheek, Instructional
Technology Specialist Jerrie attended Georgia State College for Women, majoring in Education. She worked for the Cobb County School System for 21 years for which her last four included serving as the Technology Coordinator for Russell Elementary. Jerrie teaches Elementary InTech along with a plethora of curriculum integration courses. She is also the ThinkQuest coach's trainer. Jerrie is known for her development of WebTech--a follow up program to InTech. In addition, she is known and well respected for her award-winning "Teaching with the Web" site visited by thousands of educators all over the world. Kris McBride,
Instructional Technology Specialist Kris received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood from Georgia College in Milledgeville. For six years, Kris taught in a first/fourth grade classroom for the Dougherty County School System. Mansour Abusaid,
System Support Specialist Mansour received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Kennesaw State University. He worked as a Computer Science Instructor for four years at Greenfield High School. He is currently working as a System Support Specialist for the Bagwell College of Education. Stephen Rahn - Information Technology Specialist Stephen joined the ETC in 2001 after having taught been a high school teacher for 12 years. As a teacher, he was a technology leader and assisted numerous other teachers to achieve better technology integration skills. Stephen taught high school InTech from 2001-2004. He conducts professional development for Title II-D grant teams, and now teaches a wide variety of technology courses at the ETC. He has achieved the following technical certifications: A+, Network+, CWNA, CWNT, and MOS. Stephen is also currently working toward his Ed.D in Instructional Technology at KSU. srahn@kennesaw.edu |
